Imagen: Entrada a Ciudad de La Punta enero del 2003 por donde hoy pasa la autopista 25 de mayo: Por Fabián Ferrarelli Un 29 de Diciembre de 2002, se entregaron las primeras viviendas en un barrio grande a kilómetros de San Luis; bautizaron el lugar como ”Ciudad de La Punta”. Un acto multitudinario llenó la vieja ruta 3 de autos que circulaban cargados de familias, las que iban a recibir su primera vivienda, a cumplir uno de sus sueños.
En ese entonces, la ex Gobernadora, Alicia Lemme, el ex presidente, Adolfo Rodríguez Saá y el Jefe de Gabinete, Alberto Rodríguez Saá, eran los anfitriones de ese festejo. 
Desde Buenos Aires y desde todo el mundo el evento era televisado como una locura o un capricho por parte de dos hermanos: “Construir una ciudad completa en el medio del campo”.
Se destacaba el cableado subterráneo, la plaza de la cultura, los carteles declarando el lugar, ciudad de niños. Las casas todas iguales confundían a los adjudicatarios al buscar la propia.
Unos pocos refugios recién instalados coqueteaban sobre la Avda. Tobar García.
Un libro, el primero de la ciudad, tomaba las firmas de aquellos que fueron los primeros en recibir la llave de su casa.
Muchos…, ya tenían la decisión en sus mentes de vender ese techo por el que se pagaba una cuota de sesenta o noventa pesos por mes, ya que consideraban que San Luis quedaba lejos.
Muchas de esas casas donde solo había que ponerle las lamparitas para habitarlas fueron vendidas en quinientos, o en mil pesos. Siendo las cifras más altas cinco mil o seis mil pesos.
Quien escribe esta nota, firmó ese libro. Quien escribe esta nota, tomó imágenes desde que ese poblado que era parte del departamento Belgrano. Tomó imágenes desde que La Punta comenzó a ser nivelada para construir una ciudad. Una ciudad a que el mundo consideraba un delirio.
Pero ese delirio de dos hermanos logró que Argentinos de todo el país soñaran con un lugar más sano, más limpio, más puro. Una tierra de esperanzas y de sueños.
Una parte de habitantes vendieron sus viviendas y poco a poco las mismas comenzaron a ser ocupadas por inmigrantes cargados de sueños, quienes día a día llegaban con camiones, con muebles, ideas y proyectos.
LA PICHONA, esa mujer guapa llegada desde Mendoza junto a su esposo llegado en silla de ruedas, ya lo estrenaba también un almacén de ramos generales a días del 29 de Diciembre del 2002.
PLATEA AL CIELO le puso su nombre su dueño OTRO PIONERO ALMACENERO. ABRÍA SU PUERTAS a pasos de la batería comercial C, ya que se sentaba en su patio, en su platea, a mirar durante horas, ese cielo lleno de estrellas. Falleció al poco tiempo.
Mientras que en los barrio del alto como le decían, abría desde un comedor, el entonces kiosco YAEL. Cuyo dueño ESTEBAN aún espera a sus clientes con una sonrisa, detrás de su mostrador.
Los kiosquitos de barrio proliferaron de a poco. Y encontrar un chocolate de taza, era toda una odisea.
Decían que San Luis quedaba tan pero tan lejos. No existían casi calles de asfalto. Apenas la Avda. mencionada y la del centro comercial que llegaba hasta donde hoy está el CORREO. La anterior lo hacía hasta el Barrio El Quebracho. Barrio que inscribía en personería jurídica su primer Asociación Barrial.
Las baterías comerciales eran solo locales vacios. Y la primer papelería nacía en Agosto del 2003 de la mano de Pepe Anello, hoy residente en San Luis y afectado por una casi ceguera.
Don Hector, el primer tachero de la ciudad. Quien apostó a la ciudad y se quedó junto a su familia, residiendo en el Módulo 15.
El Griego: El primer cerrajero de la ciudad. Otro que apostó y se quedo junto a su señora. Residente en el Módulo 10.
Graciela Fernández fue la primera mujer en firmar el libro donde se la declaraba integrante de seguridad comunitaria. De ella y de los primeros cinco también tenemos su imagen. Otra pionera que se quedo y es punteña.
Hace días un lector de la vecina provincia de Mendoza nos decía; Luis Carvajal Campillay: grande muchachos, soy de Mendoza y conocí la ciudad hace 6 años y me fascino, mi deseo fue siempre irme allá y nunca se me dio. El año pasado pase por ahí y esta maravillosa , los felicito, tienen una gran ciudad y provincia .felicitaciones}
Los primeros bomberos, cuyo presidente se mentaba Adolfo Logiudice Pollo. (Pedimos disculpas si no escribimos correcto su apellido). El Primer bombero de La ciudad, Don tito Hidalgo, aún vecino Punteño.
Pat Barcos nos decía a través de nuestros medios, -Yo si me acuerdo!! Me acuerdo mucho mas del 1º año nuevo en esta Ciudad.. 3 cañitas voladoras 5 rompe-portones y… se acabo la gente:P. Barcos-Potes en el modulo 11 y yo con mi bebé de 5 meses festejando por MI casita en el 8. Para los PIONEROS, fue muy fuerte arrancar acá! Saludos.-
La primer radio de La Punta, nacía meses después, FM COMUNIDAD 96,5. Agosto del 2003. En tanto las compra venta de viviendas era algo común y los camiones de mudanzas eran una constante. Menos de un año después, nacía nuestra revista EL Punteño. Al que le dió paso el periódico La Punta, creado por Ricardo Grecco Rizo y Juana Savournin.
El asfalto del centro comercial, sobre la Avda. Serrana se hizo a los apurones días antes de la inauguración oficial de la ciudad, el 26 de marzo del 2003. 
La Primera hija punteña era una niña nacida en nuestro hospital. Aún vive en el Módulo 8
El primer cambio de domicilio era realizado por un niño que ya hoy es un adolescente y ya asiste a la secundaria «Héroes de Malvinas». Y mi cabeza que tenía más pelo, sumaba letras e imágenes, las que deseo no se pierdan en el tiempo ya que nunca hice un libro con ellas. Apenas unas 128 ediciones las que mes a mes son nutridas por las mismas palabras de los vecinos.
Darío Rhotar, un vecino del Módulo 10 se volvía a su provincia, para años después volver a ser Punteño y residir en el barrio UOCRA.
Aquel 29 de Diciembre, se repartieron por parte del Gobierno apenas 100 libros que nombraba de la mano del ADOLFO, esta palabra, PUNTEÑO.
Los CD con las primeras imágenes dicen que fueron extraviadas. Pero esta redacción las rescato y las convirtió en su tesoro más preciado.
Desde el Gobierno central fueron nombrando delegados que mal o bien, administraban la ciudad.
El primero, el Arquitecto Larramendi, uno de los que plasmo en un papel lo que hoy es La Punta. Le siguieron el polémico Enrique “Quique Cabrera”. Quien lo primero que dijo fue, -Yo soy político de raza. Y ante esas palabras esta redacción tembló.
Luego María de Los Angeles Leones (La gringa). Antes de eso, Laurita cerraba su Botiquín de remedios ante la llegada de una Farmacia real. La llamada DIVINO NIÑO. Y casi al mismo tiempo unos días antes nacía Farmacia La Punta, quien junto con la panadería Reina de La Paz y Ferretería La Punta eran de los primeros que apostaban a grandes emprendimientos.
Paso luego por la delegación, Hugo Vallejo, el que fue suplantado por Guillermo Blanco, el inventor del extinto carnaval Punteño. Luego le siguió Alicia Lemme, para dar paso a quien hoy cumple su segundo mandato como Intendente electo, un vecino llamado Rubén Darío Rosas Curi.
Calles de tierra. Vientos fuertes que dejaban las habitaciones negras. Incendios que hacían peligrar hasta los barrios mismos.
Si para el 2003, en marzo…., con suerte éramos apenas tres mil habitantes.
Veíamos pasar una carretilla que venía desde el módulo 5, quien la llevaba decía que encontraba tejas tiradas, mientras en esas viviendas abandonadas por las empresas constructoras, los techos quedaban vacios casualmente de tejas.
Los primeros robos fueron las canillas de bronce y alguna que otra bicicleta, que quedaba tirada en un patio.
Las medianeras se iban levantando de la mano de albañiles profesionales y otros inventados.
Muchos, pero muchos se fueron. Mientras otros se quedaron. La Punta fue creciendo. La ciudad de sueños, la ciudad de pioneros. La ciudad de inmigrantes.
Muchos comerciantes apostaron a y apuestan a la ciudad, a pesar de los altos alquileres o de impuestos que no deberían existir para fomentar el compre local.
Aún hoy, vivienda de la provincia realiza trámites a personas ante cancelaciones de vecinos que venden su techo para irse. Pero son muchos más los que quieren venir a vivir a nuestra ciudad.
Hoy a aquellos dos delirantes acusados de locos por construir una ciudad cuando el dólar rondaba los cinco pesos, son destacados en el mundo por construir contra viento y marea …., UNA CIUDAD.
Hoy pioneros viejos y de los nuevos que siguen llegando, apuestan a construir la ciudad de los sueños. La tierra de pioneros.
Nuestro medio gráfico tuvo un principio. Algún día tendrá un fin, como todo lo tiene en la vida.
Pero si algo quedará en nuestro corazón, es el regocijo, que a pesar de nunca haber escrito un libro, ya llevamos 128 revistas EL PUNTEÑO escritos y con palabras de un pueblo que aún sueña. De un pueblo que espera ver a La Ciudad de La Punta, unida tras una sola meta.
Ser una ciudad donde los sueños ya se hayan convertido en realidad para la mayoría. Ese día esta revista, habrá concretado su propio sueño. Haber transmitido durante centenares de meses las palabras de los vecinos.
La Punta cumplirá apenas doce años de historia. Vamos entonces, por un año más, para seguir escribiendo historia. Hasta que el día menos pensado, digamos hasta aquí llegamos dejando la semilla a las nuevas generaciones dispuestas a escribir NUESTRA HISTORIA, pero escritas desde el corazón. La HISTORIA DE UN PUEBLO, QUE ESTA ESCRIBIENDO SU PROPIA HISTORIA.
