No pasaron cuatro meses y Ricardo se murió. Sucedió el diecisiete de Abril. Ricardo sufría de un cáncer de Páncreas y falleció bajo terribles sufrimientos. Solo deseaba seguir haciendo radio y ser recordado como el primer periodista de La Ciudad de La Punta.
Su radio, ya no emite señal a pesar que su último deseo fue “por favor mantengan la radio en el aire”.
No tengo palabras ni letras para seguir escribiendo sobre Ricardo. Aquél que hasta fue vocero de Adolfo Rodríguez Saa Gobernador.
No tengo palabras para pedirle al concejo deliberante de La Punta que lo destaque como ciudadano ilustre y nombre a la calle de su vivienda como “La Calle del Periodista”.
No tengo como pedírle a ese concejo y a la gente colaboración para lograr mantener su último deseo.
Todos aprendimos de él. Fue un pionero que no debe pasar al olvido.
Solo recuerdo que me prometiste inaugurar el cementerio de La Punta. Pero el cementerio aún no está.
Solo espero que tu radio siga en el aire como pediste. Solo espero que seas el primero en entrar a nuestro cementerio cuando lo tengamos.
